7. Turning

There are some times we realise
More important than others
Signposts, keynotes
Significant standing
Set apart sacred
Self understanding

There are some times when we accept
There is no great importance
Grey days, stray days
Sloppily slipping
Merging in mundane
Memory drifting

But this is a moment
A moment to treasure
We stand now, behind us the north
A past full of clutter
Before us, the south
Our hearts of a flutter
And so we believe
As man always has...
And we move on

There are places we realise
Less uncertain than others
Heart rests, love nests
Deep in our mind’s eye
Steal away, secret
Under a blind sky

There are places when we accept
We pass as if strangers
Somewheres, nowheres
Living slow motion
All alike desperate
Adrift on an ocean
